Thomas
J. Brown, Esquire, is a civil trial lawyer, and a member
of both The Florida Bar and The Texas Bar. He entered
private practice in 1988 and in January 1989 became a
partner in the firm of Mosley and Brown. In July 1990,
Attorney Brown opened the Law Firm of Thomas J. Brown, the
predecessor firm to
Brown and Brown Attorneys at Law, P.A., which was
formed January 1, 1994 when Hubert R. Brown, Esquire joined
him in the practice of law. Attorney Thomas J. Brown is
admitted to practice before the United States Eleventh
Circuit Court, the United States Fifth Circuit Court, and
the United States District Court for the Northern District
Court of Florida and the United States Tax Court.
Attorney
Brown received his B.S. in Political Science (Cum Laude),
with a minor in Accounting from Florida A & M University in
1977. Mr. Brown earned his Juris Doctorate from Texas
Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in
1983, and graduated number two in his class. He served as a
Law Clerk for the First Judicial Court of Appeals in the
State of Texas during the summer of 1982 while in law
school. He remains active at his Alma Mater and is a former
member of the Florida A & M University Small Business
Development Center Advisory Board and the Florida A & M
University Foundation Advisory Board. He is currently a
member of the Florida A & M University Board of Directors of
the Rattlers Boosters. Attorney Brown is also active in his
community and is the current Chairman of the Board of
Directors of the Tallahassee Urban League, Inc. and a Member
of the Trustee Board of St. Luke AME Church.
Attorney
Brown contributes to the legal community, as a Life Member
of the National Bar Association and by his active membership
in the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, the Barrister
Association, and the Round Table of Tallahassee Trial
Lawyers. Attorney Brown has extensive experience practicing
law in the areas of Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, and
Medical Malpractice. Mr. Brown’s practice is limited to
significant personal injury and wrongful death cases,
medical malpractice cases and premise liability cases.
Attorney Thomas J. Brown and Gilda, his wife of 24 years,
have four children. |
